💡 Posting in local groups on platforms like Facebook and Nextdoor eg. mum’s groups, community groups and sales pages
"I post in these groups regularly but not so much it annoys people! Saying who I am, what I do, I post pictures of my work and my space, maybe some reviews in there too. I also post new client offers in there, such as 10% off for first time clients - people love a discount!"

💡 Having a consistent presence on social media
"I share who I am, share snippets from behind the scenes, post on stories and encourage people to interact with me. I also follow local businesses in my area such as bakeries, photographers, florists, even other nail techs and comment on their posts and engage with them, as my potential clients will be on these pages too, seeing me positively engaging with others."

💡 Word of mouth
"It’s the best way to get people in the door as they’re hearing in person reviews of your work. I have loyalty cards with a referral scheme and incentive on there for my clients to hand out to friends or coworkers with a £5 off discount for both of them. I also go to a lash technician near me and will refer my clients to her because I actually love her work and in turn she does the same for me. I wear my work in its extremes every day, people often ask me where I get my nails done and I’m able to say that I do them, that I am taking clients at the moment and hand them my social media for them to follow."

💡 Giving clients stickers
"I give clients stickers with a QR code leading to my website and my logo on them. They can do what they want with them, put them in places, some people have put them on their skateboards"

💡 Leaflets

"I do leaflet drops with leaflets that have a QR code leading to my booking system. I've got friends that have tattoo shops or coffee shops so I drop them off there, I would also just post them around where I live - if I walk into town I'll post them through doors on my way into town"

💡 Wear your work
"I always have my nails done. When people ask me about them, I can say it is my work, give them my Instagram which then has a link that takes them through to the booking system!"

To create your QR code, go to Marketing Tools > Create branded QR code in the Solo app.

💡 Word of mouth
"I’d say this is the good, old-fashioned one. I aim to give such great treatments that clients want to recommend me"

💡 Rebooking at the end of each treatment
"We all have the best intentions for self-care but it’s easy to forget and put ourselves to the bottom of our to do lists! I aim to book my client's next appointment at the end of each treatment"

💡 Instagram
"I’m trying to be more active there and it’s getting results."
