Attract new clients with promo codes

Promo codes are a great way to attract new clients and treat them to a discount with their first booking with you. 

  1. Click on settings ⚙️
  2. Scroll down to marketing tools 
  3. Click on promo code, then + add promo code
  4. Enter a label for your promo code. Note - this is only visible to you and is not the code itself
  5. Name your promo code e.g NEW10. Note - there is a six character cap 
  6. Enter an expiry date for your code. We recommend including expiry date on all promo codes that you create and adding a time pressure to clients is a good way to incentivise them to book. E.g "Get £10 off your first booking with code NEW10 if you book before 31st December"

  7. Choose a discount type for your promo code. You have the option to over a discount as a monetary amount or as a percentage
  8. Once you have selected your type, you can enter your chosen discount amount e.g £10 or 10%
  9. Choose who can redeem your promo code. You can choose from:
    • New clients only 
    • Existing clients only 
    • Anyone 
    • Custom - if you select custom, you can handpick which clients you want to include from your client book. 
  10. Next, you can set the maximum number of redemptions. This is the total number of times the promo code can be redeemed.
  11. Finally you can choose which treatments you want to be eligible for the discount. You can easily toggle on all treatments or individually select treatments. 


Create stunning social posts for your business

Once you have created your promo code, it is now time to share it on your social channels using our built-in post creator. 

To share a promotion: 

  1. Select promotion from the social post menu 
  2. Next, choose the promo code you wish to promote from the menu. If you haven't yet created the code, you'll need to set one up in settings >> promo codes. Learn more about promo codes here 
  3. Play around with the image, colours, layout, text and background until you're happy with your image. You can change the format between post or story in the layout section 
  4. Once happy with your image press save in the top right hand corner 
  5. From here, you'll ned to press save image to save it to the photos on your phone 
  6. Open up Instagram and upload your new photo!

The social post creator can be used to create promo codes, share reviews and showcase your latest work, trends or inspiration.

Use email broadcasts to launch your website 

What better way to launch your new website than with a beautifully crafted email, complete with a book now button directing your clients to your new site! 

  1. Click on settings ⚙️
  2. Click on marketing tools, then select email campaigns
  3. Click + Create broadcast campaigns
  4. Choose from our templates or build your own
  5. Build out your email content.
  6. You can add blocks to include title, text, button, image, promo code and horizontal line. We recommend sending a test email to yourself so you can see what the client will see and make any relevant changes.
  7. To publish your campaign, you will need to click save.  
  8. Add a broadcast name, this is only visible to you.
  9. Add a subject line. We recommend something short and snappy to entice clients. E.g Exclusive Xmas Nail Offer - 50% Off!
  10. Choose your recipients:
    - All clients
    - Selected client groups
    - Selected clients

11. Schedule your broadcast or send straightaway.

Use social media to your advantage and you can benefit from free marketing. You can use Instagram to;

When using Instagram it is very important to:

Build a Strong Online Presence

  • Ensure your Solo website and social media profiles are cohesive and reflect your brand.
  • Ensure your profile and cover images are professional. Craft a compelling bio that includes your location, home salon or mobile, brands you use and most importantly, your solo booking link. 

Network

  • Build relationships with other professionals in your industry and related fields. This could be as simple as liking & following their pages.
  • Respond to comments and messages promptly. Engage with your audience through questions.
  • Foster a sense of community by interacting with your followers.

Plan your content & be consistent

  • Post regularly without sacrificing quality. 
  • Create a content calendar and post at optimal times. Look out for our monthly social post calendar for everything you need to stay up to date with posting. 

Stay trendy

  • Run special offers, giveaways, or discounts. Share promo codes ahead of quiet weeks and always direct people to your booking link in bio. 
  • Stay updated on beauty and social media trends.

Facebook

Facebook groups are a great, cost effective way to find new clients in your local area. Spend some time searching for local community groups and post a message that introduces who you are, what it is that you do and a promo code to incentivise new clients. Not sure what to write?
